Doesn’t annoy me much now, and was even pleasantly surprised when last month passing through Heathrow, the security person even knew FNU meant First Name Unknown. Remember watching John Oliver talking about it in a segment on this back in the day.

Apparently "name bifurcation" is also a thing. But shouldn't it be "LNU" for Last Name Unknown instead, since the names on the passport are their first names?
