If the arrests were outside Wuhan in 2019 i am interested in details? But i think I've heard all of those stories before.
It's evidence that China lacks a free press (which is already known) NOT evidence that anyone managed to hide more deaths in China than have happened in India, Russia, or the USA (at least not before November 2022)

Reported COVID deaths are what Russia and India are fibbing about.
Excess deaths are PROBABLY accurate, or at least the most accurate we've got.
For some places it's very hard to have any idea, e.g. PNG has a total population somewhere between 8 million and 17 million, probably about 10 million but the 17 million figure even being discussed in public tells me their birth and death records are probably kinda patchy?
