Sir ArcaneOn a whim, I decided to watch every Royal Rumble starting with '98 (The year Foley entered 3 times), and I've gotten up to 2008. It reminded me of why I enjoyed it at the time. The attitude era was perfect for a late teens and early 20's grumpy white boy.
Other thoughts: They did not know what to do with Chyna, or Booker T.
So much casual sexual harassment.
Dayumn Prince Albert/A-Train was a furball. Can he be my teddy bear?
The Dudley Boys were THE tag team for a while.
The 2001 Rumble with Drew Carey was one of the better ones. Several distinct stories within one match.
2005's ending was a great botch recovery.
2006, sigh. Yes, it's fitting that Rey Mysterio won, and they wanted to bring him in first so he could use Eddie's low rider. But Rey basically took a nap from entrant 5 to 30.
Is there a Mysterio vs Hardy match I should look up? I rather like high-flying wrestling.
Who thought that Hornswoggle was a good idea?
