Spijder@japonica @Bellison22 Another reason to steal memes right there.. and a complaint that should be directed to the makers of the main phone app, use this on ones phone with the wrong app and even if alt text was added you won't be seeing it.. and not sure if someone boosting from the wrong phone app would effectively unknowingly not be passing along an existing alt text..?
@japonica it's sad that an important statement has to be chastised because of an oversight.
@Bellison22 Sorry you feel chastied, it was supposed to be a friendly reminder that there's a lot of folk here who can't see and they're worth sharing content with just as much as sighted users are. They call time and again for people to add alt text (you can edit your post to add this) and put in a lot of work to educate sighted users. So I don't boost stuff without it, and I remind people about alt text so we can behave more inclusively. If you feel it's snarky I'll delete but pls: #altText
