@DeanObeidallah Apparently Fox News, without any trace of irony, asked their viewers if they were tired of being lied to by the media last night.
It beggars belief, sure, and the GOP are no different.
They're not ignorant, or even willfully ignorant, the hypocrisy they display is a feature, not a bug and demonstrates a void in the heart of their ideology where humanity should be.
Ultimately, they are a death cult. Anti-life itself, like cancer. And that goes for the lot of them, politicians in general and the system that supports them.
I don't know about you but I tend to like my cancer like I like my 16th Century Spanish inquisitors, which is to say long dead.
And it seems their god/religion are the driving impetus behind this cancel culture issue. And it is following the timeline in the Handmaid's Tale. Right on schedule to becoming a full blown US theocracy.
@DeanObeidallah IMO the Republicans are trying to create a national debate about the rights bestowed on Americans by the Fed Government at the expense of red states. They want a war. This is also the centerpiece of DeSantis campaign. A Republican coup failed in 2020. So they are trying to begin an interstate war with the hope that the states will be allowed to leave the Union.
Most GenZ Americans in 2024 aren’t likely to vote for them as they live and breathe the rights being attacked
@DeanObeidallah Not just teens. They’re going after the rights of ALL trans folks, including adults. It was NEVER just “about the children” — that was just their “easy in”. They’re quite literally trying to erase us entirely.

@DeanObeidallah I absolutely agree with you. But I've got to mention one thing:
> ...banning Black history...
You misspelled "US history".
Not trying to be snarky; just trying to point out that the history they're trying to ban is *American* history - the history of our nation, that's affected all of us, not just Black people.
And if we call it by its proper name, it's harder for them to argue against it.
@DeanObeidallah "You are free to do as we tell you" has always been their stance. Always.
Which makes it much more shameful that people still believe them when they claim otherwise.
