@drewharwell Jesus. Musk flew his private jet from Hawthorne to LAX.
SIX MILES.
@msbellows @drewharwell Oh, the outrage. You have no idea why the plane flew six miles. Maybe it needed repairs at LAX? Hawthorne is a tiny airport with few rescources. Maybe it was time for jet maintenance? You all want to, need to, default to outrage even when you have no context.
And before you fire back with the usual response, no I’m not defending douche Musk who I can’t stand. What I can’t stand even more is stupid sensationalist articles by lazy reporters who think this bs is journalism.
@msbellows @drewharwell Because SpaceX's huge headquarters are literally right at the end of the runway in Hawthorne.
Also, no proof this person was on the plane. Occam’s Razor would say likely, sure, fine, but no proof merely from tail number logs. More context that completely escapes the permanently outraged and the media people who enable them.
@msbellows @drewharwell Spock: Captain, sensors detecting escalation.
McCoy: Here we go.
Kirk: Not today, Bones. Sulu, time to leave orbit. Warp one. Uhura, close all hailing frequencies.
