@ninafelwitch I forgot, updated with Alt Text now. Thanks for the reminder
@Miriamm Sadly missing Angela Merckel for 'Rule'.

@Judeet88 @Miriamm Up to February 2022, the only people who were really angry at Angela Merkel, were people who don't like helping refugees.

But since last year, we all realized that she hasn't done anything in her 16 years to make Germany less dependent on Russia.

@Miriamm It's a good thing that we recognize this list as incomplete and can name a few more missing names.

@Miriamm

I cried a little when I saw Carrie on the list. She was amazing

@Miriamm "Who inspires you the most?"

"Stronk women."

-that Versace lady

@Miriamm Must admit I'd never heard of Joy Harjo. Interesting.

@Miriamm Don't forget the legendary women of Bharat.

Eg:

Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar

Rani Laxmibai

Rani Abbakka Chowta

Anandibai Gopalrao Joshi

Lata Mangeshkar

Margaret Hamilton (software engineer) - Wikipedia

@Miriamm Thanks for sharing this!
I'll just mention in a quiet way that if you made a phone call today, it went through something that my little sister patented ages ago while in grad school. (It's something involving switching software, I don't remember the details). Her employer at the time owns the patent, of course, since she developed it as an employee.
But she did it at a time when women in the tech world were second-class citizens.
So my little sister is pretty cool. 😀
@dancingtreefrog That's amazing! Congrats to your little sis. As sad as the past and current can be it's little things like this that signify the general direction were moving in is up although not always linear!
