Pen is a TWSBI Diamond 580 Iris, ink is Van Dieman's Mandarin Duck Breast. In the angled view you can see the reddish sheen and the bits of bronze shimmer catching the light.

I mostly ink without pencils simply because I don't want to wait or risk ruining my drawings.
When I draw from life, time is of the essence and I'm slow, so that's my excuse. 
One day, I really should get a light pad. Which one do you use?
