@MikeElgan This is the first time I've read that Musk cut ties with Open AI. I've been feeling antsy about using ChatGPT because I thought it was benefiting Musk. I feel better now, knowing it's not. As for the rival he's creating...I have no words. I will never understand that kind of person.

@MikeElgan While the fact that it's Elon Musk in particular feels a little dubious in light of his recent track record, it would have to be someone. ChatGPT's approach in this regard, forcing the AI to eschew its normal functionality to pronounce value judgements on facts has been absolutely bizarre and wrongheaded.

@MikeElgan I fail to see legitimate technological advantage in AI developed with the explicit intention of offending, traumatizing and damaging the humans using it.

ChatGPT isn't currently inhibited from doing anything that humans need done.
