The #ToryParty has fully internalised the concept of:

"By whatever means necessary."

That's what:

1. Makes it, to date, the most successful political party IN THE WORLD;

2. Makes it so incredibly dangerous, as it's prepared to lie & decieve to win.

IMO, There's only one way consistently to counteract/defeat that:

Swallow hard and do the same...by any means necessary.

(#Moral_High_Grounds haven't worked. Ever.)

@fencoul Mercifully we've probably reached the point where they've had enough rope to hang themselves.
The sad thing is we'll probably get a Labour government not because they're offering an inspiring , inclusive, progressive and unifying agenda but because enough people are struggling, see a government that doesn't care about them and will risk trying the other option.

@fencoul I'm not saying Starmer is but the electorate see it that way & under FPTP rules they probably, sadly are. In England at least the vote could still be split by the so-called Unity party or a real away Tory party should Boris decide his ego needs one. Ideally there'd be other options, a more empowered electorate, better local demo racy etc. Even the SNP now may not be "the opposition" in the UK if they lurch to a less "woke" position.
