it took a while but winter finally came.
curious to see how the daffodils that are confused by our weather will handle it.
@helloronaut I’m in Tennessee. Daffodils here have been blooming for 3+ weeks already. A couple weeks ago the warm weather was briefly interrupted by a night in the mid 20°’s. They were unfazed. I think of all the early spring bulbs they are the most impervious to cold weather. But it’s been so warm down here (85° last week, 80° y’day) the trees are already leafing out down here. And that has me worried because they will not take a hard freeze and one almost certainly will occur in March
@frankiewx that's what i'm hoping for the daffodils. fortunately, our trees aren't leafing despite being an abnormally warm winter (RI/CT border).
@helloronaut well at least you’ve finally gotten snow up there. We’ve only seen a dusting all winter down here. The prettiest springs always follow snowy winters
