English politics is exhausting and so troubling. The worst government of our lifetimes investing so much time, energy and resource into sustaining the fraud of Brexit and trying to cover their own arses, rather than work out what’s best for the country.
It’s already an epic failure and now we have to suffer another Tory meltdown while they work out how to make their miserable deal slightly less miserable, with the total wingnuts shouting about sovereignty. Ugh.

@13sarahmurphy At least we have the comfort of turnips. I utterly detest modern U.K. politics, as it’s simply about repeating the same damned lies so frequently that people just give up and accept that we, the voters, have no voice. I’m going to miss Our Nicky up here. Too soon for Mhairi Black, but in the future?

The right wing press have a lot to answer for. I fully expect that a large proportion of the country's population are in complete ignorance. They're instead being fed a diet of contrived culture wars and "illegal" immigrants.

@13sarahmurphy As bad as the past few years have been I am still of the opinion that Maggie Thatcher's govt was worse. So many of her dreadful policies still impacting us to this day such as sale of council housing, selling off utilities and destroying manufacturing and heavy industry.
