Joe Biden is disproving the narrative that he is too old to be president.

@StevenBeschloss The brain is a remarkable piece of machinery, but our cells decay and there is the deterioration risk with no way to forecast when this will malfunction. Five years is a long time and at the age of 80 Biden should leave the table gracefully.

The average age of an S&P director is 62. Of the S&P 500 companies that do have a mandatory retirement age in place, 88 % set that age at 72 or older and 33 % set it at 75 or older, according to Bloomberg ESG Data.

@StevenBeschloss I dunno... everyone seems to think RBG was doing great at her job at 87. (Personally I can't forgive her for not retiring & thereby gracing us with ACB, but that's me.)
@StevenBeschloss
nah. he's not getting younger. he never will get younger. just like kids can't be president, there should be an upper age limit too.
@StevenBeschloss These age weary peeps need to come to my LAP SWIM SESSIONs.. SUNDAY 7am.. were all old and kick most .. young rear.. leave it there.. never misjudge age to lifestyle.. choice..
@StevenBeschloss No he is not, and stop worshipping politicians. He’s old AF and nobody his age should be president. Jesus Christ.
@StevenBeschloss I have very mixed feelings about a second term, but one thing is clear: a President with younger children, or a sense that they have a lot more of their life to live, is way less likely to get on that train to Ukraine.
@StevenBeschloss Biden would make a great advisor to President Kamala Harris who is sharp as a tack and can walk at a brisk pace. Everyone gets old. It's okay. It's normal.
@StevenBeschloss He's turning out like every president since JFK.
He needs independent opposition. I will run, if no one else will.
We need an independent candidate, or the duopoly of warmongers will never be broken.
@StevenBeschloss I’m a baby-boomer. I am assisting my more-elderly-then-me, parents. I am experiencing and witnessing the challenges, small and large, physical and mental that are a natural part of aging. For this reason, although I thank God for Joe Biden’s current leadership, I will not support his future candidacy for President. Age is not kind to our physical and cognitive abilities. It’s time for the Democratic Party to develop a younger candidate.
@StevenBeschloss Of course. I saw President Biden on a bike. I never saw Trump do anything physical like that. Biden’s speech was superb and he knows how to win again. He brings out Republican dirt and will not play nice. Democrats are bat shit crazy if they want to primary him. See Jimmy Carter in 1980.
