@sparkly @BlackAzizAnansi Nazis aren’t reasonable people, so attempting to debate them reasonably or expecting they’ll magically disappear if ignored isn’t a valid strategy.

They aren’t here to have a friendly, logical debate in the marketplace of ideas; they’re here to commit genocide and replace democracy with fascism. You’d have as much luck trying to reason with a rabid dog or a starving lion.

The only choice is to nip that shit right in the bud the second it shows up by any and all means necessary.

I wouldn't say fascists are "here to commit genocide". They're here to seize power, and they're sufficiently evil that genocide is an acceptable tool to do so.
We shouldn't say genocide is a necessary component of fascism; doing so lets doubters claim "no genocide == no fascism".

@frankie @sparkly @BlackAzizAnansi You make a fair point and we definitely should recognize fascism in all its forms, it’s just that so often the genocide tends to be an inevitable outcome once you start labeling people as ‘undesirables’ or ‘subhuman’, which is where fascism tends to go.

Fascism works when there is an ‘other’ to blame, which usually doesn’t work out so well for those labeled as such when the fascists achieve power 😔

@frankie @Sonikku @sparkly @BlackAzizAnansi It's a distinction without a difference. Even the early inklings of fascism are components of genocide.
