Does anyone know a way to freeze the avatar of users that have configured a gif? Just for me ofcourse, not the entire instance. It's a cool feature, but I find it distracting. #mastodon #mastoadmin

@doppynl Is any of these options helping?

Preferences → Appearance → Auto-play animated GIFs

Preferences → Appearance → Reduce motion in animations

@fell the option "auto play animated gifs" seems to apply on avatars as well. I thought that would only work on posted gifs. The other option did not appear to do much for avatars.
My screen is a bit more relaxed now. Thanks!
