@zoeschiffer @caseynewton one of the few things I admire about FB is that it (at least when I was there) used its own platform—very effectively—for internal communication, task management, etc. (There was a secure irc server for releases and crisis management because of an incident where FB went down hard.) The fact a social media platform uses a different, less mature, social media platform as a comms channel is just another indication Twitter was always trash.
