We could have begun moving towards a post- fossil fuel world decades ago but there wasn't the political will and there was the fossil fuel lobby. We wouldn't have been in so much of a climate crisis if we had.

There is now more pressure on govts to change and in some countries their is some progress no matter how small. However its likely to be too little too late.
