America pays a high price to keep a social hierarchy based on corporate greed & bigotry
Racism, misogyny, and xenophobia are efforts at wage suppression
It's used to keep a privileged class enriched at the expense of others
Corporations are experts at using prejudice & bias to suppress wages.
Low wages prevent the diversification of local economies because it thwarts women, PoC & immigrants from starting businesses.
Gary, Indiana - another victim of bigotry & blinkered corporate vision.

@Npars01 yeah, that's a pretty solid summary of the story of American industrialization right there. It seems so counterintuitive but also I guess if you're the person seated in the throne on the backs of your workers, it probably seems pretty advantageous to keep it that way 😕
