I was actually with my dad on the picket line one night in '97. He was a tractor trailer driver on the third shift and he and his coworkers were all standing around a barrel with a fire in it, (where the hell do you get a barrel to light a fire in?) and made hot dogs. I remember it was burnt on the outside and half frozen in the middle.

We lucked out in that my dad had vacation that week and with autopayment, got paid.

Oh, did that piss off his friends who still got check in hand. He got paid and they couldn't cross the picket to get theirs.

We watched the strike unfold in Canada on our 8" B&W tv. It was over by the time we got home.

Solidarity with the #Teamsters, and all others in the sphere of influence. Its heartening to see y'all back in the game.

Be sure to publish what you do and don't want people to do.
