Like, I'm not saying the wealthy aren't a problem. It's just funny how often people can only perceive the problem in terms that affect them.

The number of times some fairly well off white guy has stepped in to tell me, a poor trans woman, or any marginalized person, that the only and most important problem in society today is capitalism and the wealthy...
Well, it's extremely predictable, and even when it's well-intentioned, it comes across as completely tone deaf, like most white cis-het male leftists.
Like, do you know who the wealthy are? Mostly white cis-het men. 🤔
Wealth accumulates to people who already enjoy preferential social status within our hierarchical power structure, and it's just another vehicle for exercising that power. Perhaps even the primary one in a capitalist hellhole like ours. But there's a lot of putting the cart before the horse going on here.
So again, I'm sure you mean well. (Probably. Maybe.) And yeah, tax billionaires and millionaires out of existence. Tax the churches. Tax aaaaaall that shit. And use it to fix things.
But like, my primary concern is people trying to kill me or make my existence illegal or impossible. It's access to medical care and bodily autonomy and reproductive rights. It's the threat of rape and violence and rampant abuse and discrimination. It's killer cops. Etcetera.
But yeah, your thing, too. Sure.

@russelsteapot42 There's this naive idea that changing economic systems will upend every other hierarchy, too, when what usually happens is the new bosses reproduce all the old inequalities that benefit or don't affect them.
For instance, all the ways that non-Muscovites, non-Russians, and queer people were discriminated against in the USSR? Some of which we're really just understanding now?
