Cincinnati closing Ohio River water intakes, swapping to reserves

Greater Cincinnati Water Works will close Cincinnati's water intake in the Ohio River ahead of anticipated #vinylChloride contaminated water from the #EastPalestine #NorfolkSouthern #trainDerailment, the agency announced Friday morning. The #contamination is expected to reach the portion of the #OhioRiver from which #Cincinnati draws its drinking water on Sunday.
