One thing I'm enjoying about #Allotment #Gardening is that I genuinely do not have a clue. I'm smart, sporty, well-informed and can turn my hand to most things (except DIY). With plants, DIY jobs like building compost bins, maintaining beds and helping nature do its thing, I am a rank amateur.

So I get to try things, learn from others, watch things grow, and I don't feel any pressure to succeed...

I don't like feeling out of my depth when I NEED to do something, but I LIKE learning.

@BardfromtheBookshop that’s a great approach to take. There are no failures, just lessons (she tells herself every time something fails) 😉
@YasmineHamid thanks! Still failing upwards at the moment. A few successes are making it worthwhile, like the cauliflower seedlings doing so well, and my hugelkultur bed being completed.
@BardfromtheBookshop Yup. I’ve had ok leeks but the birds pulled up all my early field beans. There’s always tomorrow though!
@YasmineHamid yeah, the broadbeans were 16 originally, and now 3 post frosts.
