I just added my giant-sized Lego Star Wars Minikit Container to my Etsy shop!

It's a 6x scale 3D printed container modeled after the minikit in the Lego Star Wars video games, and based on real Lego dimensions.

Please boost, and let me know what you think!

@stevekohls nice! What printer/modeler are you using?

@sanguish Thanks!

I used Fusion to model it and printed on my Prusa MK3S.

Modeling was a lot of trial and error to get the fit right. Learned a lot about Lego dimensioning too. I have the Fusion model parameterized so I can scale everything easily and model most Lego parts pretty quickly.

@stevekohls I love Fusion. I’ve been using it since 2013 or something like that.

Do you “assemble” the individual pieces in fusion?

Once I got my resin printer I pretty much shelved my fdm. The quality is nuts.

@sanguish I do assemble them in Fusion. I create the individual parts as Components.

We bought my daughter a resin printer for Christmas but she's at school and we haven't had time to set it up. Once the weather warms we will likely set up in the garage so we don't have to worry about fumes. Really looking forward to printing some miniatures.

@stevekohls I have two tiny hepa filters that fit inside the cover of my Elegoo Mars 3. I don’t notice the smell at all with one running.

I would suggest avoiding the water washable resins. They are so much harder to clean off the prints.
