@fencoul The opposite. Original posts on birdsite were shouting into the void, often with little feedback who, if anyone besides bot screens, saw it. Also very little feedback on original posts on this masto account/server but it still feels a bit like shouting where the neighbours can hear. There's much about my life they don't want to know or I'm not safe sharing so I'm self-censoring even more than on birdsite.
@fencoul Also, this whole idea that we listen to each other and have good conversations on Mastodon flies right out the window on certain topics.
Blocking seems to happen faster here so there's even less opportunity to try to clear up a misunderstanding.
Self-censoring is the only sane approach at this time.
(Last block was for trying to share info on WHY a misperception had taken hold, because you know, helps us figure out how to sort them out. How dreadful of me, eh?)

@emmaaum 👆I've not experienced any of that so far on here...but it happened regularly on #BirdSite (again just this morning).
