Little reminder for the neat freaks: if you move the Spotlight window in macOS and get anxious every time you subsequently trigger it that it’s not dead centre any more, click-and-hold the icon in the menu bar. (I have that hidden as I always use ⌘+Space, but I show then rehide for this. 🤓)

ETA: @kristofferjohansson (and others) tell me you can also drag the Spotlight window and it will snap to the centre, which I didn’t know!

@chrisphin TIL, thank you! Am not a neat freak, but alignments… argh

@marcpalmer I don’t think you can claim not to be a neat freak and be delighted to have learned a tip to get alignments back in order. 😉😘

Do you know about ⌥ and ⌥+⇧-dragging the edges of windows? With that, you can maximise a window to full screen, then shrink it from the centre so it’s perfectly centred on screen. 😇

@chrisphin no I did not! Have to say I have switched to Stage Manager as I prefer less visual clutter
