@bfo turn off all the notification switches in our app, wait 10-15 seconds, then turn back on.
@ivory Did it twice and didn't seem to work. Any other idea?

@bfo Very strange. The issue was fixed for everyone else by turning off all the notification switches. Maybe try again, but wait a bit longer? Otherwise, the only thing I can suggest is deleting the app and installing again. We are pretty sure this is just a Mastodon issue because we've been running push notification services for over 10 years and never had any issues. Mastodon sends all notifications as encrypted. The cases of this issue are far too isolated right now.
@ivory Deleted the app and reinstalled it. Still getting the encrypted push notification 🤔 If there is anything I can do helping you track it down, please let me know. Otherwise I'm living with this for now. Notifications worked with the first version of Ivory for me, the one before the public TestFlight.
@bfo have you deleted all old instances of Ivory? And then restart your Mac? Apparently there’s some conflicts with the older version of the Mac app. Like you might be running the updated app, but getting push notifications for the old testflight version. There's been a few with this issue and we've been learning a bit more each time.
