It’s official. John Tory has resigned.

4 years of Rob Ford and 8 years of John Tory have left #Toronto’s public services starved to the brink. The result is unreliable public transit with higher fares for worse service, Torontonians unable to afford to live in their city, overflowing garbage bins, spiking crime despite overinflated police budgets. Tory was not a good mayor, just a milder mannered Rob Ford. I hope Torontonians have better judgment in choosing our next Mayor. #TOpoli #voteTO

@iPedro not necessarily a JTory comment, but related to the budget, I'm always confused as to why, Toronto, with its population, business opportunities, and it saying that it's the economic engine of Canada, always seems so house rich and so cash poor.

@iPedro It’s baffling to me that three out of the last four Toronto mayors have been a racist Bad Boy furniture store founder, a crack smoker, and a center-right guy who cheated on his wife. Toronto deserves a progressive mayor.
