Sean C.@ivory no worries — it took me 5 tries to get into the iOS alpha. FWIW i used to use Tweetbot for Mac nearly as much as on iOS so i am sure Ivory will be the same once i can. just glad it is coming.

@jackmcconnell iOS apps on the Mac are generally terrible. Would make sense if we weren't making a Mac app, but we are.
@ivory that would be true but my personal experience has been excellent. E.g. for now, I’m using the official Mastodon iOS app on my Mac and it’s been really good. Keyboard shortcuts and everything. But it’s not a Ivory.
@jackmcconnell We used Ivory for iOS on our Macs internally when our Mac app was still too early. It wasn’t good for us. 🙂

Really odd.
@ericdano Most of the people who got it early have been long time beta testers for a lot of our apps. And many of them happen to be tech writers because they tend to need early access to spend time with new software so they can write about them when released. Nothing new here. Been that way for 15 years with us. But as we said, there's currently a testflight issue. There's no reason why we don't want as many people on the Mac app as possible at this point. It's about as good as the iOS app.

MizzBassie@ivory I’d love to see ability to add photo descriptions in the iOS version. It’s the only thing that keeps me from using Ivory all the time.
@MizzBassie That's always been a feature. You have to tap on the images after you add them in the compose view. But we will be improving it all in the future.

@ivory It would be nice if we could see the image while we are describing it. It would be easier to describe the little details your eye takes in almost without you being aware of it.

@robmathers Not without a ton of work. We'd have to build an update system and everything. We are already going to be close to releasing on the app store so just want to let 10k users use it until we ship.
