If you regularly use software #documenation to perform your job, and you've been tracking #AI developments like #ChatGPT and the new ChatGPT enhancements to Edge & Bing, I have a question for you: How do you think AI might change how you look for and consume software documentation? What would you like it to do?

My team has a hackathon running on AI and docs. I would love to hear from you.

@williamslauram Coming up with a textual blurb is only so useful. How about a list of the sources it used to generate the text?
@damnitjanet Interesting. Is this because you would want to verify authenticity?

@williamslauram The opposite -- I'm interested in the question of "for this answer that I like, what do I need to read to gain the same knowledge?"

If one knows a knowledge domain well, it can be fairly straightforward to figure out what references and resources to consult. But if you're new to the scene and/or unfamiliar with the resources, it can be difficult to figure out the good sources of information. This could be a way of discovering those sources.
