@patrickcmiller to be fair, there really needs to be change somewhere, I personally know many people whos entire world view is influenced by curated reinforcement of information.
Keeping an ear to the ground and a finger to the pulse of the world is extremely easy if you take a drink from the unfiltered firehose of the internet, but thats become extremely difficult now that often you can't filter content chronologically.
Manipulation of information weight is still manipulation, and honestly when it boils down to it I believe its even more anti free speech than restrictions on platforms being able to do said manipulation.
Its a slippery slope case for sure, but it also shows just how little laws actually matter to the safety and order of society if they aren't enforced or are entirely absent or inadequate in their scope and goal.
I don't think 230 is the right one for this, new laws are probably far more ideal.
