@xssfox all standards, tbh. If you want to be assessed against a standard, I think paying for that service is fine, but gaining access to the guidance and requirements, i.e. the standards themselves, should be free and simple.
Problem is, they're not publicly owned.

@trib @xssfox yeah, in Europe, they're explicitly privately copyrighted material, to be sold at whatever price the private companies creating them see fit.

Said companies usually have a monopoly on the market in their respective country, which, you know, doesn't exactly lead to good customer service and competitive pricing.
