@xssfox Esp when the people that write the standards don't get paid for their work. Bit like academic publishing.

At least NZ makes a lot of NZS available for free (building related ones).

If the law requires a standard to be followed then govt should fund development & maintenance. Gets messy though when AS is an adoption of IEC or ISO.
