tech.lgbt defederating from eightpoint - how unexpected of them.

"we have trans friends" they cry, as they collectively punish an instance of trans women for the transphobic conspiracy theories invented by a bunch of out-right fascists who claim the old administration is somehow pulling the strings still.

I've said many times before so I'll say it again.

tech.lgbt isn't safe for trans people - you'll be fine so long as you toe the line and remain one of the model minorities, so keep that in mind if you stay. there is a reason I left a long time ago though.

the transphobic harassment campaign was always about power, it was never about accountability - the guilty parties have been accounted for and removed. no-one accepted them back, a single poorly worded message by an admin who was harassed by transphobes for months and then thrust into a position of responsibility is the entire basis for that lie.

well done dip-shits.
you do fascism real well.

also, I just wanna point out that this shit is cop behaviour - it's fash behaviour.

the idea that there are some who don't deserve restorative justice.

restorative justice, you absolute fucking rancid tosspots, is not a pick and choose.
if you are opposed to restorative justice, you are carceralists.

don't claim the high ground while you fucking lie, you absolute dickheads.

ALT: A post taken from a thread written by the tech.lgbt moderators account which reads:

Instance Defederation.

These requests were denied and further they pushed the same argument that their former administrator deserves "restorative justice". (restorative justice is underlined)
This is fundamentally incompatible with the safety standards we have set for our community as it would allow someone with a verified history of causing harm to continue accessing the population they are most likely to harm. It is with this in mind that we have decided to defederate from eightpoint.app, which will take place 40 days from today.
This timeline is constructed to allow those who've migrated from mastodon.lol to clear their 30-day migration requirement, and to provide users on our side ample time to migrate should they choose.

END.
