Bill Tschumy@ramblingreaders I went to bookwyrm.com on macOS and was presented with a popup asking for permission to download files. If I click "Cancel", the site doesn't work. Why does it require this permission? If I click a link to download something, I can understand needing that, but it doesn't seem reasonable to give that permission just to visit the site.
@btschumy as far as I am aware the domain bookwyrm.com is not connected with the BookWyrm project.

Can you clarify what would mean when you say "We are a UK based instance of BookWyrm". Is BookWyrm a mastodon instance? How do I find out about "BookWyrm"?
