Youtube rabbit hole thread! Every now and then I find myself binging a very specific type of video or channel on Youtube. I want to share them here to hopefully interest others, but also a public archive. Let's go to Wonderland!
Design of very compact spaces. It's amazing what people come up with when they are constrained. The channel Never Too Small has particular great selection of videos on the design of small spaces. Watching these as inspiration for a new home office. This was my gateway video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfXMoGmb74w&t=370s

Go on a journey to the unseen world that surrounds us. Microorganisms aren't just cool to watch, they can teach us so much. Like, what is a single species? What is gender? What is death? Especially this last question is so beautifully addressed in this video. Really, sit down for this one and let it sink in, it's amazing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibpdNqrtar0

It’s really insane to think about, but something about these Power Wash Simulator videos is really fun. Watching someone perform virtual manual labor is peak internet, but I like it dammit 😄 https://youtu.be/Qb820Y-MypA

There are some people making insane deep-dive documentaries on very niche topics, and I just LOVE that this is possible now. Doing actual research and creating a compelling story out of it for a very specific audience. And apparently, it works. Like this one, on how #Bionicle saved #Lego in the early 00's, just amazing:
