Update on the #lego #modulex baseboard tiny-brick-hoarding project.
Fewer new bricks than last time. A couple of 2x2s but mainly those funky Modulex roof building and angle parts in green and brown.
Update on the #lego #modulex baseboard tiny-brick-hoarding project.
Lots of new bricks since l last shared this. Both the 1x1 alphabet (excluding the Danish fantasy letters) and numbers are complete thanks to an awesome person right here on Mastodon.
Near the bottom are a bunch of printed parts. I was sooo hoping these would be ugly but IRL they're surprisingly nice thus unfortunately that section now also requires completion.
I'm starting to feel sympathy for that hoarding dragon in LOTR.
Fun #LEGO fact: in 1963 LEGO released the M20 #architecture system, later called #Modulex.
It came with a little rake so in those moments of desperate need for inspiration the architect could rake their mini-brick zen garden, empty their mind and visualize their next mid-century-style block of pastel colored concrete.
Got some additional parts including two types of clear #Modulex and the elastic band used to graph sales and stuff in Proper Business settings. I just like the colors and shapes really.
Updated version.
It's really nice how well the Modulex colors align with the colors of our typical Danish 1960-1980s house.
The photos (with the plastic appearing a bit reflective) don't do justice to how it appears in real life.
Update: Today I got a #Modulex base plate and placed my red brick... I'm afraid this is the start of an obsessive hobby..
At least it takes less space than #LEGO :-)
Thanks for the inspiration @cazmockett!
