@gwensnyder many medications actually usually keep an order of magnitude longer than that if stored properly, or at the very least are still safe to take, barring any chemical-specific reactions:

i'd still replace it after it expires if possible to make sure you get exactly the dose that you need for it to work though, of course

Seems like the shelf-life of mifepristone is a lot longer under proper (low-humidity) conditions. Up to 5 years before it starts to lose efficacy if kept dry.
I'm no expert, but it sounds like putting it in an air-tight container with one of those desiccant packets would help.
