I have a very recent example. While listening to #Mastodon's "Skeleton Of Splendor", I was wondering what they sing about in the refrain.
What I heard
"To my dad's roommate"
"To my dead roommate"
"To my dad's romance"
"To my dead romance"
Turns out it's actually
"To my detriment"
What the hell is a detriment anyhow???
