SeeingMrRacist and uncle tom conservatives canceling their subscription to Disney+ over one episode of #TheProudFamily rather than just not watch that show out of the many others on the app is pretty much peak conservativism at this point.
The only thing I’ll say I disagree with about the Juneteenth episode of #TheProudFamily ,which has conservatives so angry (and it’s really not something worth getting that upset about given the context of the rest of the episode), is that it is historically incorrect to say Lincoln did not end slavery.
Criticize Lincoln for his short-comings and missteps as an abolitionist, sure. Frederick Douglass did that too. But Lincoln and the Union Army absolutely did end slavery.
