Me as a kid: *Happily pirating a bunch of Weird Al and Sega music*
The Proud Family: Hey, music piracy is bad!
Me: Oh, I see. *Continues to happily pirate Linkin Park and Breaking Benjamin*

But on top of that, Oscar and his mother's relationship is dysfunctional and toxic---they're always at odds or arguing with each other, and she treats her *dog* better than him. So why bother staying in contact with each other? They'd be better off living apart and living their own lives without each other.
On Disney+: A short featuring Suga Mama from "The Proud Family."
I'm reminded that despite the show being called such, ironically they'd be better off *not* being a family as they currently stand? Oscar falls in line with the usual "Trudy would be better off divorced from her bumbling manchild husband" like many other sitcom spouses.
So I just saw The proud family louder and prouder season 2 finale...I think this is one of the best episode in the history of children shows.
The only thing I’ll say I disagree with about the Juneteenth episode of #TheProudFamily ,which has conservatives so angry (and it’s really not something worth getting that upset about given the context of the rest of the episode), is that it is historically incorrect to say Lincoln did not end slavery.
Criticize Lincoln for his short-comings and missteps as an abolitionist, sure. Frederick Douglass did that too. But Lincoln and the Union Army absolutely did end slavery.
