@ericj I wore a kippah for years, starting in high school, and I have always been one of the few women who wears one. Just recently I switched to a tichel, because I wanted to be more feminine (and also I fell in love with a particular tichel shop)
@statsjew@ericj I love the look of a tichel (OK, I basically just love colorful fabric). When I eventually start wearing a kippah I’m going to have difficult decisions to make (or even whether kippah is the right head covering for me).
@statsjew@ericj I've worn kippot of various descriptions for 20 years but recently began wearing a tichel sometimes because they're pretty. Most of the time I wear a beret, though - convenient and good with my shaved head.
