It feels a bit ghoulish to jump in on another server's closure but for those who need a new home now that mastodon.lol is shutting down, we still have plenty of room to grow on retro.pizza! We're a queer-run (but not queer-only) nerd culture instance with a small but healthy community and an admin who is very old and calloused by the Transformers Fandom Message Board Wars of the '00s.

@trixter This is what I always expected more of, and felt was an opportunity lost, during the large Twitter migrations. Instances that want to grow or have something specific to offer should be marketing themselves.

@cptofmysoul I think so many of us are just weary in our bones of being marketed to so we're slow to do it ourselves, but it's reasonable here.
