For me, the best part of quilting is when all of the piecing is done...the sweet spot where I've completed the quilting and start finishing the binding: always by hand and always while listening to jazz.

This quilt ("Break the Rules") was finished to Dorothy Ashby's Afro-Harping album.

It was perfect.

@drmomo the longer I look the more cool details I see — the broken letters in break, the patchwork binding, incorporating the embroidery frame! This is an amazing piece

@inarticulatequilter thank you - I even used tulle to mute the batiks (they were too colorful against the black and white photo). I have never made anything like this - it was fun!
