@echoechoR Hey Echo, what do you think about creating presentations using tools like RMarkdown and Quatro? These tools seem to be very useful for people looking to present data since the data -> plot -> slide transition is seamless. Also with the Quatro it is possible to create custom layouts with images streched to half of the slide etc. Though the learning curve may be steeper than using PowerPoint, if you are already using R / Python for data vis, it is not such a great leap.
@ekatko what a cool question! I'm afraid it's beyond what I know as I've never used either of them and I can't say much.
From what I've seen, graphs imported into slide software from analytic software break a lot of dataviz rules.
While convenient, it still means the defaults need to be changed a lot so that it's effective, accessible, and engaging.
But that's a very general impression I have. Not a deal breaker just something to be careful about.
