They were forbidden from mentioning climate during the trial for demonstrating.

@kevinrns Probably thinks a jury might have a couple or three people on it who would not find someone guilty if they knew that it was intended to oppose climate damage, as well as people freezing and starving.
Might be right.
I cannot think of any reason to prevent testimony except that it would alter jury opinion.
