If you don't thing the right-wing dominates our politics, think about how little you hear about wage theft -- the largest single form of theft in America -- and how much you hear about two trans kids in Texas who'd like to play a sport.
@lolgop Yes, but the media also has a bias towards controversy and newness. There’s nothing controversial or new to report about wage theft - it’s a “dog bites man” story - so it doesn’t get reported.
@BruceHalperin @lolgop Correct - yellow journalism, click-bait headlines, etc are common and for me, a reason to block or boycott journalists and media sources. It takes some personal research but, you can find legit sources, not owned by the right wing, not engaging in click-baiting, not prompting via controversy, adequately fact checking, and not engaging in yellow journalism. Find their RSS feeds and add them as contacts in Friendica is my goto.
@lolgop
it's also scary when right wingers get angry because they're so volatile
@lolgop eyeballs follow the outrageous and thats what the GOP does…

Their fans crave for hate and Nazis.

They give them hate and Nazis.

Their fans want legitimate federal services/programs defunded, destroying millions upon octillions of lives.

They attempt to eviscerate vital programs.

Elections begin.

They swear in a Kindergarten of a party.

They eat it up.

Do they mind the taste? The impacts of their actions? How they treat, hurt, and even outrage the liberties of others?

Sadly not. They eat it up.

The elephant killed itself.

They beat it.

@lolgop Culture Wars are the Fascist GOP way!

@lolgop
Actually theres a bunch of reporting on labor media, if you'd bother to look. Here are a couple examples:
"Kroger workers allege massive wage theft: “I’m tired of having to beg""

https://popular.info/p/kroger-workers-allege-massive-wage

Most every week has an article or two about wage theft or reparation in this category

Kroger workers allege massive wage theft: “I’m tired of having to beg"

In 2022, Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the country, launched "MyTime" — a new payroll system that Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen claimed would “simplify day-to-day work.” Kroger touted MyTime as a testament to how much the grocery store chain cares about its associates. But since its roll-out, MyTime has been a nightmare for thousands of Kroger employees across the country. Glitches with MyTime have resulted in a host of problems, including missing pay and incomplete checks.

@lolgop also, remember the whole “Fight for 15” struggle to raise minimum wage? That was TEN YEARS AGO, and we still haven’t raised it.
@RailroadedJB not on the federal level yet lots of states have and $15 has become the prime ask
