@lolgop Yes, but the media also has a bias towards controversy and newness. There’s nothing controversial or new to report about wage theft - it’s a “dog bites man” story - so it doesn’t get reported.
Shelenn Ayres@BruceHalperin @lolgop Correct - yellow journalism, click-bait headlines, etc are common and for me, a reason to block or boycott journalists and media sources. It takes some personal research but, you can find legit sources, not owned by the right wing, not engaging in click-baiting, not prompting via controversy, adequately fact checking, and not engaging in yellow journalism. Find their RSS feeds and add them as contacts in Friendica is my goto.
