For me, I really feel the Switch has outstayed its welcome; I was ready for a ‘Switch Pro’ two years ago, but today the discrepancy between Switch and the rest of the gaming landscape is just too great. A Breath of the Wild rehash that looks like it could have been DLC really doesn't do it for me, especially with the same framerate that frustrated me six years ago. It sucks that you need to look to emulators to see it in 4K60, when the hw is still on the market. It really is time for a Switch 2.
@stroughtonsmith it really hit me there needs to be a switch pro when my switch could barely run Pokémon scarlet, a game that would have zero issues running on any other platform AND it still looks like garbage…
@Arthur @stroughtonsmith A big part of this is time crunch at Game Freak though. The game technically runs better in an emulator on good hardware, but it’s still not a technical marvel. It was very clearly rushed out, and they had to use every trick they could to muster to force it to run, even though there are far more technically advanced/challenging games out there on Switch.
