I think it’s time that we recognize that trying out new hobbies is a valid hobby
@rooster my wife says my hobby is researching hobbies.
@rooster yes. meta hobbies are also hobbies, and deserve recognition
@rooster It’s good to expand yourself. When you stop growing, you begin dying.
@rooster This totally made me laugh. For awhile I was checking out planner videos, and I found them ~ odd. I eventually realized that for a lot of the vloggers, their main interest was was constantly trying out new planners, reviewing things new out of the box, and thinking about how they *might* be used. Once I understood that was a popular hobby, they made much more sense.
@rooster my life is just endless hobbies that I then get bored of and come back to like 2 weeks later
@rooster I’d like to have a friend-group or library that would box up and lend out the basics for hobbies like cross-stitch, spoon carving, wire-wrapping jewelry, anything involving home soldering, or things you can do with an Arduino/Raspberry Pi/etc. Each season you could get a new hobby to try, and a group of other people who were also trying a new thing to share notes with.
@rooster Especially the purchasing and organizing of supplies.
