Shout out to everyone who has ever done anything to keep youtube-dl (and its many offshoots) running over the years. It's incredible to be able to so easily back up any video on YouTube in seconds.

Or in this case, backing up a local version of an entire web series I love by pasting in the playlist URL.

@birchtree yeah I used to use it, but has some bugs and then switch for the improved yt-dlp but I find it quicker on downie since I don’t even paste, it reads my clipboard but yeah, they’re both super quick

@2049 Oh yeah, I’m on yt-dlp ever since YouTube somehow managed to throttle the original.
